Remi8 Terms of Service

Provided by Silent Infotech Inc (d/b/a Remi8)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Remi8’s mobile applications, web applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided by Silent Infotech Inc (doing business as "Remi8", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services

1. Description of Service

  • User" means any person who accesses or uses the Services.
  • User Content" means any audio, recordings, notes, text, images, files, or other content you upload, sync, store, submit, or generate using the Services.
  • "AI Features" means transcription, summarization, extraction, search, Q&A, or other features that involve machine learning or automated processing.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Account Registration and Security

Certain features require an account. You agree to:
  • Provide accurate and current information.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. The Services

Remi8 enables users to create and manage voice and text notes, optionally sync notes across devices, and use AI Features such as transcription, summaries, and retrieval.
We may modify, discontinue, or change the Services (or any part of them) at any time, including introducing or changing feature limits (such as storage, transcription minutes, or rate limits) to maintain performance and reliability.

5. User Content and Permissions

You own your User Content. You retain ownership of your User Content as between you and Remi8.
License you grant to Remi8 (to operate the Services). 

To provide, operate, and improve the Services, you grant Silent Infotech Inc a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display your User Content only as necessary to:
  • Provide and maintain the Services and features you use.
  • Perform AI Features you request (for example, transcription, summarization, and search).
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Provide customer support.
This license ends when your User Content is deleted from the Services, except where: (a) we must retain it for legal, compliance, dispute, or security reasons; or (b) it remains in backups for a limited period consistent with standard backup practices.

Your responsibility for User Content. You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring it does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights (including privacy, publicity, and intellectual property rights).

6. Recording Consent and Compliance With Law (Important)

Laws governing audio recording, call recording, meeting recording, and consent vary by location and circumstance. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including obtaining any required notice and consent from participants before recording or uploading audio that includes other people’s voices or personal information.
Remi8 does not provide legal advice and does not condone illegal recordings or unlawful collection of personal data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity.
  • Record, upload, or share content in violation of applicable consent, privacy, or surveillance laws.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights or other rights of any person.
  • Upload malware, attempt to bypass security, probe systems, or disrupt the Services.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where prohibited by law.
  • Access the Services through scraping, automated harvesting, or excessive requests that degrade performance.
  • Resell, rent, or commercially exploit the Services unless expressly authorized by Remi8 in writing.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms.

8. Subscriptions, Billing, Trials, and Refunds

  • Paid Plans. Some features require a paid subscription. Plan details and pricing are displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Unless you cancel, subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
  • App Store / Play Store purchases. If you purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, billing, cancellation, and refunds are governed by those platforms’ terms and policies. You must manage your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings.
  • Web purchases. If you purchase directly from Remi8 via the web, billing is handled through our payment provider(s). Refund eligibility (if any) will follow the refund policy shown at checkout or on our pricing/refund policy pages, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or withholding required by your jurisdiction, except where we are required by law to collect them.

9. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as app stores, payment processors, cloud hosting, and AI/transcription providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, their downtime, or their terms. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Intellectual Property

The Services (including software, designs, UI/UX, trademarks, logos, and underlying technology) are owned by Silent Infotech Inc and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services.

11. Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback regarding the Services, you grant Silent Infotech Inc the right to use them without restriction or compensation and without any obligation to you.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:
  • You violate these Terms.
  • We must do so to comply with law or protect users and the Services.
  • Your use creates risk or legal exposure for Remi8.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends. Subscription cancellation and any refunds are subject to the purchase channel (App Store/Play Store or web) and applicable law.

13. Disclaimers (Including AI Outputs)

The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
AI Features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading outputs. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying results before relying on them.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or that the Services will meet your requirements.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
  • Silent Infotech Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to the Services.
  • Silent Infotech Inc’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Services in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limitations may not apply to you in full.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Silent Infotech Inc and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
  • Your User Content.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your recording or uploading of audio without required notice/consent.
  • Your infringement of third-party rights.

16. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, excluding its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, through the Services or on our website). Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
