2.1 Audio Data

  • Voice Recordings: We record audio when you use the voice input feature for AI assistant functionality.

  • Audio Files: Audio recordings are temporarily stored on your device and may be uploaded to our servers for processing.

  • Transcription Data: Audio is converted to text using AI services for generating responses.

2.2 Registration & Account Information

  • Account Details: When you create an account, you may be asked to provide your name, email address, and a password. 

  • Payment Information: For paid plans, our payment processing partners may collect your name, billing address, and payment information. Payment information is not stored on our servers and is maintained by our payment processors in accordance with their own privacy policies.

2.3 Device Information

  • Device ID: Unique device identifier for app functionality.

  • Device Specifications: Operating system, app version, device model, brand, browser type, and technical specifications.

  • IP Address: We collect your IP address when you use our Services.

  • App Usage Data: How you interact with the app features, including timestamps, access events, and interaction records.

  • Approximate Location: We may infer your approximate location using your IP address.

2.4 Chat Data

  • Messages: Text and audio messages you send to the AI assistant.

  • Conversation History: Stored locally on your device and on our servers.

  • AI Responses: Generated responses from the AI assistant.

2.5 Storage Data

  • Local Storage: Audio files, chat history, and app settings stored on your device.

  • External Storage: Audio recordings saved to your device's external storage (with permission).

2.6 Information You Provide About Others

If your audio recordings or notes contain Personal Information of third parties, please make sure you have the necessary permissions from those individuals before recording or sharing their information through our Services. The information recorded using the Rem8 services or software application stack will be considered with the implicit consent of the individual who is the user of the application as well as the other participants of the application and the liability of the consent of such multi person audio, image or text will be on to the user of the application and not on the application services stacks provider.

2.7 Information Received from Third Parties

  • Third-Party Platforms: When you connect third-party platforms or register through a third-party account (such as Google or Apple), we may receive Personal Information including your username, profile picture, and email address from such third parties.

  • Analytics & Attribution Partners: We may receive additional information about you from third-party analytics or attribution partners (such as Meta/Facebook) and combine it with other information we have about you.

  • Payment Processors: For processing payments related to paid plans. Payment processors are responsible for the processing of your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

  • Audio recordings and chat history are stored locally on your device.

  • Data is encrypted and protected using device security features.

  • You can delete local data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.

5.2 Server Storage

  • Conversation data may be stored on our secure servers.

  • Audio files are processed and may be temporarily stored for transcription.

  • We implement physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your Personal Information.

  • However, the transfer of Personal Information through the internet carries inherent risks, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data transmitted through the internet. You make any such transfer at your own risk.

6. Permissions We Request

Our app requests the following permissions and uses them as follows:

  • Microphone: To record audio for voice commands and AI processing.

  • Storage: To save audio files and app data locally.

  • Internet: To connect to AI services and sync data.

  • Notifications: To send app-related notifications.

  • Wake Lock: To keep the app running during audio recording.

  • You can disable microphone permissions in your device settings.

  • You can clear app data to remove all stored information.

  • You can grant or revoke permissions at any time through device settings.

  • Some features may not work if permissions are denied.

  • You can uninstall the app to remove all data.

7.3 Additional Rights Under Applicable Laws

In certain circumstances, depending on your location and applicable privacy laws, you may also have the following rights:

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. When deleting Personal Information, we will take measures to render such information irrecoverable or irreproducible.

  • Audio Files: Processed and may be deleted after transcription is complete.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data during such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms recognized under applicable data protection laws. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and on our Website, and updating the "Last Updated" date. We use a third-party SDK (Meta/Facebook) for analytics and attribution purposes.

Aggregated data is not considered Personal Information as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. However, if we combine aggregated data with your Personal Information so that it can identify you, we will treat the combined data as Personal Information in accordance with this Policy.
